Angel-A (2005)
Seen on the 13th July 2011 (91 min)
A very interesting film about love, humanity and perfectio. After all, who are we humans capable of? The most beautiful emotions can be played on us or the most terrible things can befall in those around us. Love is the answer and even semi gods know this unchanging truth.

A French comedy about love, sex and relationships. Things seem normal in this family but when they are exposed to the sea brease everything seems to change around them. They focus their attention in their young boy who (they think) is coming out. It turns out everybody else needs to come out except the young boy who is just fine and enjoying life by the Cote d'Azur.

The Tourist (2010)

This is not a film about intrigue and spies. It is rather a film that tries very hard to be a film about intrigue and spies. There are good moments and the setting is stunning.

My best friend
My Best Friend (2006)
Seen on the 28th January 2011 (90 min)
A comedy about friendship in modern times. It is the story of Franncoise who is challenged by his lesbian business partner to show her he has a best friend in life. Francois takes the challenge very personally and goes to great lenghts to feel he is not alne, although he truly is very unsuccesful and socially inemp. Bruno is his friend of choice but he too has lessons to learn even though he clearly is very sociable and warm person. A funny film some times with poignant moments.

Blame it on Fidel
Blame it on Fidel (2006)
Seen on the 1st January 2010 (99 min)
The story of Ana, who had to put up with two liberal parents in 1970 Paris. Her journey is interesting as it describes ideological change in an era of contrasts. Ana is forced to abandon her very nice life in Paris for a more shared, communist style of life. Her father is a Spanish, revel aristocrat man who is married to a revel rich French woman. Ana's world becomes a turmoil (the world is already a turmoil) but is able to adapt and learn possibly one very important lesson in life: it is better to experiment for yourself what is good or wrong, you might be wrong but at least you tried, you were freed from impositions during the process. A very interesting film particularly as the viewer lives the process from the eyes of a 9 year old. So, nothing is true and nothing is false, it all depends of the colour of the glass we see it through.
